There are four Holy Books mentioned in the Word that are cataloged in Heaven. The Book of Life, in which we all should want to have our names registered, is one and the Book of Remembrance is another. Mention of this book can be found in Exodus 17:14 and Malachi 3:16. All of the good deeds accomplished by the Holy Spirit through us on this earth are chronicled in this book. If our Heavenly Father has His scribes write in the Book of Remembrance daily, we should do likewise on earth as it is in Heaven. In order for us to endure the mighty battles that will be waged against our faith as the last days draw to a close, we must reflect back on the ways in which the Saviour has led us in the past, remembering how He has blessed us through difficult trials. Then, we will be able to gain the strength necessary to press forward into the battle.
If you are interested in a more in-depth study of this book and its importance to us today, please view or listen to this sermon by Pastor Andrew Henriques from Saved to Serve. Our family hopes to one day meet the Henriques family this side of Heaven, but if that not be our Saviour’s will, then we pray to meet on our 7-day journey to the Promised Land. Until then, we hope the pastor will accept pictures of our physical journals and this page to allow us in the virtual doors to Sabbath school and service this week. 🙂 As he likes to greet us during Midday Power Surge….”Welcome one, welcome all.”
Please join us in recording testimonies of how our merciful Saviour has moved in our lives. With the testator’s permission, we will highlight some of the testimonies here in this online Book of Remembrance to encourage others. We find that the more we are able to share with one another of the amazing things our Creator has done to sustain us, the more we grow and are better equipped to share with the lost. The more experiences you can recall, the more hope you can instill.
Our Online Book of Remembrance
To the Messiah, our Creator and Redeemer,
Thank you for waking me up this morning and
keeping the children safe, even when one fell and
busted her lip; Your holy angels ensuring no worse
damage befell her. You are keeping a roof over our
heads and food on the table, even when the greedy
and the deceitful are presently trying to rob them.
We reflected this morning on Your mighty works for
Your children while leaving Egyptian (worldly)
bondage. Thank You for being so long-suffering
and blessing us with many testimonies of Your Love!
Our earthly reflection of the Heavenly Book of Remembrance, detailing our Saviour’s daily work in our lives.
Past Blessings to Remember
- Family could not afford to take beloved dog to the vet to have a softball-sized tumor on the side of her neck removed, so they prayed over the dog…and it disappeared overnight. This displayed the Father’s tender mercy for all of His creatures.
- Husband is still alive after grueling cancer surgery when doctors said that recovering naturally as our Creator intended was not possible. Our merciful Saviour has kept him safe to this day, which is well past the 2-month death sentence that he was given. The oncologist stated there was only a .2% survival rate for the stage and type of cancer. This trial has only opened an avenue to testify to so many more of the sick than previously available.
- Daughter, with only brothers, prays for a decade for a sister and then receives a double blessing with back-to-back baby sisters. This was an encouragement to never give up praying. We have even heard a story of a man who prayed for someone for more than forty years and didn’t even get to see the answer to that prayer as it came at his funeral. Although, we believe he will have a star in his crown for his faithful prayer leading to the saving of that lost soul.
- Son told yesterday by doctors that he was one asthma attack away from death or becoming a vegetable. As a vegan, he wasn’t sure what that meant, but he did know that the Heavenly Father has him in His hands and he didn’t let the fear of death overcome him. Our dear merciful Saviour brought him through the night with victorious praises of thanksgiving as lack of breath did not wake him to fear his life or reach for man’s supposed remedies for the first time in years.
