Our beautiful Sister Iris breathed her last breath on this sin-tainted earth on March 15, 2019. We pray our Saviour, the Messiah, will allow us to be gathered together with her when He comes again for His people.

Please continue to enjoy the musical talent our Heavenly Father bestowed upon her as a blessing to us all. The story of how we felt led to find a piano for the nursing home she was staying at the time of her death can be found below as a reminder for us to pray for residents of nursing homes everywhere, especially those without Elohim’s music. If you find a nursing home without a musical instrument to bring the ailing and aging the healing and comforting gift of music, please let us help.

Iris Koch has been playing the piano most of her life. She has blessed many local churches and communities by sharing her talents.  She has been battling Stage IV uterine cancer causing her doctors to have to perform a hysterectomy and remove her colon last year.  Six months later they found cancerous tumors on both her bladder and lower pelvis and she was given only a few weeks to live.  After a recent surgery at a hospital in Flint, she was moved to the Medilodge nursing home in Ft. Gratiot, Michigan.

Our children wanted to sing hymns for her, only to find out that their piano was given to another facility during renovations some time ago.  We sang hymns to lift her spirit, but we could tell how she longed to play for us as she is always thinking of others.  Instead, we had to settle for a CD of some of her favorites.  We share this music with you in hopes her talent will continue to bless others.

However, not hearing her fingers on those keys one last time on this earth is too much for us to bear.  The children thought there must be some way we could find an old piano that needs a good home and what better place for one than where it would bring such joy to the ailing in our community.  If you can help us, we’d love to hear from you.  May Abba bless you as you enjoy her musical gift!  Her rendition of sacred piano pieces are featured here, however, you can also enjoy her other favorite winter melodies on the SoundCloud.
